Requirements:
-Domains .COM.CO, .NET.CO, .NOM.CO: From February 7th, 2010, there are no requirements. -Domains .CO: Starting March 2010, the top level .CO extension will become available to current registrants of .COM.CO domain names. If you are the current owner of a .COM.CO domain name, please contact us in order to register your domain with top priority before it becomes available to the public. Here is the proposed structure for the roll out of these domains: Phase 1 – March, 2010: Those that have a .com.co domain registered before July 30, 2008 will have priority to register the same domain with extension .co. Phase 2 -Phase two will have two parts: April 1st to April 20th, 2010: Those that have a valid registered trademark in Colombia (before July 30,2008) will be able to register domains. April 26th to Jun 10th: Those that have registered trademarks outside of Colombia (before July 30th, 2008) will be able to register domains. Phase 3 –June 21 and July 13: Anyone will be able to request a domain, please note a higher fee will be applied in this phase. In the event there is more than one request for the same domain, an auction will be conducted. Phase 4 – Begins On July 20: The registration will be open to the general public on ¨First Come, First Served¨ basis. The price for .CO is no yet defined by authority; we will be informing about this as soon as this is public.
