What are the registration requirements for .BR domains?
In order to register any .BR extension, the domain owner must be a citizen, resident, or entity legally established in Brazil with a Brazilian tax identification number. If you do not meet this requirement, we can register the domain in the name of our local representatives and then make it available to you. This option has an additional cost (Trustee Service).
In order to register a .ORG.BR domain, the owner of the domain must be a non-profit company incorporated in Brazil.
What does .BR stand for?
.BR represents the official domain extension or internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) of Brazil. This domain is only available to legal entities such as citizens, residents or registered companies in Brazil.
